Our body carries infinite wisdom. Knowings of the skies, lands, waters and soils, and the ways our ancestors lived in connection with nature and spirit. There is a natural design (sacred geometry) that has a rhythm, maramataka- cycles and patterns, and when we move in alignment with these we are in harmony with life.
Traditional Māori wisdom and healing can support the return to this knowing as we connect and remember the sacred which in turn supports shifting limiting patterns and beliefs, alchemising these into wisdom, opening us to our own artistry and unique gifts so we can take up our roles as carers of the sacred to support a collective return to the heart.
Rongoā Māori Healing with Taatou Taatou
The session opens with heart to heart kōrero, landing into the body and the space with each other, and when aligned, supported by rongoā rākau.
The healing is not passive. It is a dialogue with the body, listening without judgement to the wisdom held deep within. We listen and return to harmony with ourself, and all of life.
Traditional teachings and intentional practices are shared to support you to take healing into your own hands, remembering your gifts, and reclaiming your mana (personal authority) to stand in tino rangatiratanga (absolute sovereignty) moving in harmony with, and caring for, all of life.
Sessions can be one or more of the following:
– Taamiri (intuitive diagnosis and reading of the body).
– Romiromi (includes deep tissue pressure, organ alignment, nervous system regulation, and haemata-master points).
– Mirimiri (movement of mauri- energy).
– Tiwawe (moving the internal waters).
– Koo Miri (reo, sound, karakia, takutaku, incantations, waiata, song).
– Taonga Puoro (musical instruments of nature).
– Rongoā Rākau (herbal teas, oils, creams, scent).
